NABERS is a performance based rating system for existing buildings including; offices, homes and retail spaces.

 

NABERS rates a building on the basis of its measured operational impacts on the environment and provides a simple indication of how well you are managing these environmental impacts compared with your peers and neighbours.

 

NABERS Energy assists owners and tenants to reduce energy use, reduce energy costs and reduce green house emissions. It benchmarks a buildings greenhouse impact on a scale of one to five, one star being the most polluting and five star the least. Experience shows that by implementing energy efficency practises many buildings can save 20 to 40% on their energy bills and reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases.

 

NABERS Water Measures the water consumption of an office building on a scale of one to five star, reflecting the performance of a building relative to the market, from least efficient (one star) to best (5 star). Two and a half stars is the current market average.
